What's the name of your company, and what do you do in one sentence?
Keep it simple. No jargon. If a stranger couldn't understand it, rewrite it.
Question 02
What problem are you solving, and who feels it most?
Be specific about the pain. Who is the person suffering? What happens if this problem doesn't get solved?
Question 03
How do you solve it? What's different about your approach?
Not just what you built, why your approach is better than what exists. What's the insight?
Question 04
Why now? What's changed that makes this the right moment?
New regulation? Technology shift? Market behaviour change? Investors want to know why this couldn't have been built 5 years ago.
Question 05
How big is the opportunity?
Total market, your addressable slice, and how you plan to capture it. Numbers help, but so does a clear logic for why this is a big market.
Question 06
What traction do you have?
Users, revenue, partnerships, waitlist, LOIs, anything that proves this isn't just an idea. If you're pre-traction, say what you've validated and how.
Question 07
How do you make money?
Pricing model, unit economics if you have them, path to profitability. Keep it clear.
Question 08
Who are your competitors, and what's your edge?
Don't say "no competitors." Every startup has alternatives. What do you do better, and why can't they easily copy it?
Question 09
Who's on the team, and why are you the right people to build this?
Relevant experience, domain expertise, unfair advantages. What makes your team uniquely qualified?
Question 10
How much are you raising, and what will you do with it?
Round size, key milestones you'll hit, and what the business looks like after this capital is deployed.
